b'CLINICAL MONITORINGPeriodic and ongoing monitoring and assessment in accordance with facility policy of the NPWT patient is recommended.Care and Assessment If desired, secure vacuum chamber in desired location ensuring visibility of blue sealing flap.Assess patient periodically or in accordance with localclinical protocol to monitor the following:1) Dressing feels firm and tight 2) Dressing is not saturated with wound exudate 3) System is not disconnectedGENERAL USEShowering and bathing Light showering is permissible- avoid direct spray.Do not directly submerge theNP SIMS dressing or vacuum chamberin water. The vacuum chamber should NOT be disconnected from the dressing.Cleaning Clean the vacuum chamber with damp soft cloth. Dry using a dry cloth. Avoid using corrosive or abrasive material.Removal ofNP SIMS Disconnection of vacuum chamber is NOT necessary.Using clean technique lift outer edge of dressing until acrylic adhesive releases and dressing has been fully removed.
