b' Do not use on circumferential incisions. Dressing application on these incisions may compromise distal circulation. Do not use on patients who are sensitive to or have known allergies to medical silicones or acrylic medical adhesives. When used on friable skin, a skin protectant or barrier should be considered prior to application to protect surrounding skin. Closely monitor patients with high risk of bleeding complications, which if uncontrolled, could potentially be fatal. If sudden or increased bleeding is observed, immediately discontinue therapy, leave dressing in place, take appropriate measures to stop bleeding and seek immediate medical assistance. Infected Incision Sites - Site should be inspected during dressing changes for signs and symptoms of infection, increased pain or bleeding. More frequent dressing changes may be required. Do not coverNP SIMS with rigid immobilization devices or casts which might cause excessive pressure and tissue injury. Do not secure the vacuum chamber against the skin. Ensure the system tubing does not: Become positioned where it could cause pressure damage to the patient Trail across floor risking a trip hazard or contamination Present a risk of strangulation to the patient Rest or pass over source of heat Become twisted or trapped under clothing or bandages so that negative pressure is blocked4NP SIMS Health Care Practitioner Instructions for Use (IFU)'
