b'WARNINGSNP SIMS is single-use only for up to 7 days. The vacuum chamber cannot be reactivated, and the dressing cannot be re-sterilized.Dressing reuse could cause transmission of infectious agents. Do not use on open wounds (Chronic, acute, wound dehiscence, sub-acute, traumatic, burns). Do not use on flaps and grafts. Sharp edges or bone fragments in a wound must be covered or removed prior to us withNP SIMS to reduce the risk of puncturing organs or blood vessels during therapy.Patient use of anti-coagulants does not rule out use ofNP SIMS, however hemostasis must be achieved before applying dressing. Consideration should be taken when usingNP SIMS on the following types of patients who are at increased risk of bleeding complications: Patients receiving anti-coagulants or platelet aggregation inhibitors Patients with weakened, friable, or infected blood vessels Patients suffering difficult wound hemostasis, or with untreated malnutrition Patients with vascular anastomosis Patients that are non-compliant or combative Patients with wound in close proximity to blood vessels or delicate fascia Do not use on spinal cord injuries.
